Anything really. Brooches, chocolate cakes, clothes. But I had a baby nine months ago and since then I haven't really had the time to do anything much, apart from keep us both clean and fed.
Don't get me wrong, I love being a mum. But I miss being creative. Getting my hands dirty with something other than mashed banana and stain remover.
I'm not looking to create a masterpiece. Just get back into making. Use the odd spare 30 minutes productively, instead of watching old episodes of Grey's Anatomy.
So that's why I decided to start this blog. To keep a record of the stuff I've been making. And how I've collected all the bits. As there's nothing more rewarding than finding a treasure buried under a pile of tat in a charity shop. Or recycling something worn out into something fabulous. When someone's cast offs become the foundations of a beautiful vintage piece.
Time and money are two very precious commodities, especially when you've just started a family. So I intend to be economical with both!
And lets face it, how ace would it be to turn up at the next birthday party with an original, beautiful, hand knitted toy, and think, 'I made that. But it doesn't look like it!'
